Goldi the Space was founded in March 2024 by director Penny Godfrey, with the desire to create a gentle space where stylists and clients alike can find peace, comfort, and soft luxury.
Our name.
Goldi is abundance and light. What that means to us is feeling seen, heard, and cared for.
Abundance—meaning more than just hair, but an experience. Attention to detail, education, and connections.
Light—brought in the way of energy and emotion. We want each client to feel welcomed, warm, and calm. Offering transparency and inclusivity to your salon experience.

Penny.
Director / Senior Stylist
With 11 years behind the chair, Penny is the heart and hands behind Goldi the Space.
When it comes to her expertise, she can do it all (mostly), but she has a true love for enhancing natural beauty—think self-love, embodied. Soft, lived-in colours, glowing blends, and hair that makes you feel like the main character in your own story.
A true Earth sign, Penny loves to read, sew, create with her hands, and basically do anything other than sit still. Her world is built on softness, intention, and to-do lists (as most Virgos would understand).
Another fun fact: Penny is a professional Muay Thai fighter with over 20 fights under her belt, travelling across Australia and all the way to New York and Thailand for fight opportunities. Now retired, she carries the discipline and heart she found in the ring into every part of her life.
At home, she shares life in Moana with her husband Byron, and together they love spending Sundays running along the coast and cheering each other on through every chapter of life.
Keeley.
Emerging Stylist
As Keeley approaches the final stages of her apprenticeship, her passion for hairdressing continues to grow. She has quickly become a loved and trusted stylist within the salon, building strong, genuine relationships with her clients.
Colour is where Keeley truly thrives, especially creating rich, glossy brunettes. She loves crafting transformations that leave clients feeling confident, refreshed and empowered. With a perfectionist’s eye and strong attention to detail, Keeley is dedicated to delivering beautiful, consistent results every single time.
Driven, organised, and proudly Type-A, Keeley is always striving to learn, refine and elevate her skills. She brings warmth, fun and plenty of laughter into the salon, keeping the Goldi energy light and joy-filled. Life’s too short to take things too seriously, after all.
Outside of the salon, Keeley loves spending time with her partner Hayden and her family. She enjoys reformer Pilates, baking, discovering new foodie spots, and catching up on her favourite reality TV (Love Island is a non-negotiable).
